A Little Bit About Me
My communications career began at the deep end, when I secured a position as a project intern in national network television. The project was CNN’s live coverage of the 2000 Presidential Election. My performance on the election team quickly led to my appointment as an associate and then Northeast Regional Producer at the historic CBS Broadcast Center in New York City. In 2003, ABC News/Disney and the Daytime Emmy award-winning program, Good Morning America recruited me to serve as a show producer. At just 26 years old, I led a team of high-profile broadcast news professionals through a daily fast-paced, deadline-driven editorial process; gaining recognition for producing highly-rated show segments.
I later joined the elite primetime editorial team of 21st Century Fox. There, I created feature, hard news and documentary segments and pieces seen by their audiences, national affiliates and sister network, Sky News, in Europe. In my role as a primetime news producer, I covered an extensive mix of local, national, and international news stories and events ranging from New Year’s Eve Specials in New York City’s Time Square, the interviewing of leading politicians (including U.S. President Barack Obama) and overseas Prime Ministers to sports stars and controversial figures.
In tandem with network news production, I worked as a publicist growing the brands and credibility of national newsmakers (such as ABC’s Shark Tank star, Barbara Corcoran) by obtaining valuable editorial coverage and providing them with expanded communication channels. Since, I have acted as a senior publicist and creative strategist, crafting and executing thoughtful marketing communications and top-tier media campaigns for subject-matter experts, businesses, and established not-for-profit organizations. As a result, my clients enjoy the positive market presence that can be delivered only by professionals with ‘big picture’ experience and an academic foundation.
I studied Visual Communication at Parsons, The New School, in New York City, completed my undergraduate work at The University of Tampa in Communications (Magna Cum Laude), studied German at the Goethe-Institut, Frankfurt am Main, and am earning my Masters of Science (MS) at Purdue University, Brian Lamb School of Communication. My education, along with my specialized industry experience, has enabled me to establish myself as a communications specialist with expertise in top world media markets.
